Rick is a retired psychologist (certified and perhaps certifiable) who was born and raised in P.A. before settling in Rockland County before he lived in the Bronx for a few years.
In his musically formative years he toured with the “chariots” playing and singing with this doo wop group well known for their rendition of “Gloria”.
More recently (90’s) he has been part of the opening act for Waylon Jennings and Emmy Lou Harris.
Tom "Stick" Villano
A cover band veteran of the local club circuit since the early 80's, Tom has manned the drum throne for a variety of musical groups including the top 40/new wave band "Minimum Wage", southern rockers "Molly Cribb", classic rock band "Crossover" and with the "Pete James Blues Band". He has also performed and recorded with original artists and drummed with dance, jazz, wedding, worship, theater, combos and lounge acts.
"My favorite thing about Rick,Stick and the Stache is the energy and versatility of the group. We play without a set list and often change musical directions based on the feel of the crowd. It is always a blast performing with Rick and Stan because they know so many songs by heart and often put cool spins on classic favorites. In addition to our steady work in local clubs, we have played several memorable outdoor concerts as well as some awesome private parties"
Stan "The Stache"
Born and raised in Bronx, NY, Stan “the Stache” started playing bass at the age of 15. Years later he studied under Ed ”Doc” Lord bassist for Glen Miller’s Air Force Band. He continued building a strong foundation playing charts from Motown to Classical and learning the fundamentals of reading and writing music. After 10 years of writing over 100 songs, recording demos and chasing his dream of becoming a lyricist he was a founding member of Smokehouse, later signing on to The Pete James Blues Band. A chance meeting with Rick led to a partnership that has lasted years and became the foundation of Rick, Stick and the Stache. It was once said that “People hear what they see…” the show is important whether we play for one person or 100, when it’s Showtime you have to give it all you got…
